A Video For Peta

Hey Everybody,

Can you believe that it is already October 22!? It feels like this month has flown by. With Halloween happening in just over a week, what are you planning on being? I have a couple of ideas if you're stumped...

Anyways, with the end of October nearing, December is right around the corner. December means family and holidays and snow ❄️ if you have it. But it also marks a very special day, Peta Rutter's birthday. Peta was born on December 31, 1959. This year we will celebrate what would've been her 57 birthday. It's still crazy to think that it's been 6 years without her, but we get to remember and see her everyday with the work that she did. Last year, I reached out to crew members from Mystic Force  to see what kind words they had to say about Peta. Two of them were very kind enough to take the time to write sincere remarks about her, and it was appreciated in ways they may not know. This year, in order to do something special for her, I want to address the fans. Through Power Rangers was how many of us found out about her but I hope my account has shown you all that she had such a meaningful career and legacy she left behind. So I wanted to ask you, the fans, to just write about Peta. What she meant to you, how you found out about her, what you liked about her. Anything and everything you could possibly say, say it. Also, if you want to submit drawings/art of her to go along with your words/quote, go right ahead! All of this will be going into a video that I'll be putting out on Decmeber 31, her birthday. This (I believe) will truly be the ultimate tribute to her and would be such a special thing to honor her. You can comment on this blog, direct message me through Twitter or Instagram, or you can just tweet at me. I'll make sure to add in your name/username if you want it included in the video, and you can send them from now until December 28. It'll mean so much even if you just write a few words. Ranger Newz Entry #8

Ranger Newz 9/17/16

Hello everybody! It's been a bit dry here as there hasn't been much news recently, however that's about to change with the start of the Ninja Steel filming. Already, there's a developing story with Chantz Simpson, originally casted as Calvin the Yellow Ranger, getting recasted. Before we dive in, I also would like to say I've been doing more research with Peta Rutter and contacting people so hopefully I'll have something cool to show you within the coming weeks. Now for the news:

Chantz Simpson Recasted:

It was all that the fandom could talk about last night. Around 8pm EST it was revealed via email from Saban that the role had been recasted and the new actor is Nico Greetham. Right now all we know is that it was due to "unforeseen circumstances" however this doesn't mean we should harass anybody for answers. I know we're all curios but I'm sure this is a stressful time for those involved. Side note though, with Chantz getting recasted this makes it that one yellow ranger from every era (Zordon, Saban, Disney, and Neo-Saban) has been recasted. I wasn't aware of some of these myself but here they are:

• Audri Dubois ---> Thuy Trang (MMPR Yellow)
• Erin Simms ---> Cerina Vincent (LG Yellow)
• Heidi Bradhurt ---> Rose McIver (RPM Yellow)
• Chantz Simpson ---> Nico Greetham (NS Yellow)

A strange and unfortunate pattern, however I know everybody is wishing Chantz the best and like Yoshi said, he is still apart of the Ranger Fam.

Ninja Steel Filming:

All of this news came quickly along with the little note that filming is beginning soon. Not much more to report on this, but it does mean we could be getting a trailer with more American Footage in the next month or so, given that Ninja Steel premieres in January opposed to Febuary. Stay tuned for BTS photos from the cast/crew!

Not much else to write but since everyone was freaking out I thought I'd put this out there. Like I said stay tuned for more things Peta Rutter. I try my best but it is hard when you live on a different continent from where the actress lived. I do hope to take a trip to NZ one day, and you all will be first to know if I do. End Of August

Hey Everyone,

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the lack of updating to this blog. I'm going to try a lot harder on that so please work with me! I suppose I might do these end of the month posts each month for fun. Not much has happened in the Ranger World, 4/5 of the Ninja Steel Rangers arrived in New Zealand. One thing that I did want to post about was to ask for your well wishes for a Sentai actor, Ryosuke Sakamoto (Who played BioRed in Bioman) is undergoing cancer treatment. We all know that Peta Rutter passed away from a brain tumor and if was malignant then that means she also had cancer. We don't know that and may never, but nevertheless we all need to send this Ranger Family member our love, support, thoughts, prayers (if you do). As I said on Twitter, Super Sentai alumni are like our extended family, we love them all and we want a great recovery! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you make the most of the new month. P.S. The new PR movie comes out in seven months!!!

Ranger Newz Entry #7

Ranger Newz: Ninja Steel Edition

Hey everybody! So sorry it took so long to get this out, but it's finally here! There was so much Ninja Steel news that came out of PMC, so let's dive right in. Also, a few extra things I forgot are at the bottom under miscellaneous. Enjoy:

Cast:

One of the most exciting parts of Power Morphicon is the cast reveal! This year we were all treated to a surprise when Yoshi Sudarso's (Blue DC/DSC Ranger) brother was revealed as the Ninja Steel Blue Ranger. 

Obviously a very heartfelt moment for Yoshi, and the fandom has welcomed Peter with open arms.

The complete cast is listed below:

• Will Shewfelt as Brody
• Peter Sudarso as Preston
• Chantz Simpson as Calvin
• Zoe Robins as Hayley
• Chrysti Ane Lopes as Sarah

Obviously a very exciting reveal, and the cast is extremely diverse. Let me know who you are most excited to see! You can view the first trailer here. and get your first glance at Galvanax. Also in the trailer, a ToQger villain can be spotted so possibly more to come?! Only time will tell...

Toys:

The other big news was all of the toys revealed. There were lots of them, but one definitely stuck out from the rest. The morpher:

That is most certainly not the original morpher, which was a sword. Though the new morpher doesn't look bad at all, and plays to the whole "Power Stars" motto, I do wonder if there was any other reason for the change. Nevertheless, still an interesting design. Miscellaneous:

A couple of their stories came out that I did not cover, so hear are some brief recaps of them:

Poisandra is getting a figure! After all this time and all the hope, Bandai listened and are giving the fans what they want. Interestingly, Poisandra could be the start of something amazing. Greg from Bandai said that she wouldn't be released under the Dino Charge line, but a whole new line. He said that it will include previous characters that have missed out on figure form!!! Who knows what this mysterious new toy line could entail, but let's be patient and we'll find out. Also if they're all going to be the same size as the DC figures, this could mean the standard releases will stop changing scales! Ever since 2010 they have changed the scale of the figures each year, so maybe it'll stick now.

RangerNation is a new forum for all ranger fans which will be a collection of toy reviews, news, and much more. Many fans are worried that this could be Saban trying to control the fandom, however I suggest we wait to learn more before jumping to conclusions. The website is up but has not began yet.

Hopefully you've enjoyed this and found it somewhat helpful. I know it's late but I was working on my newest page for this blog, a list of what figures have and haven't been made in the legacy figure line. My biggest hope is that we'll see a White Mystic Force figure, which would be a truly amazing tribute to the late Peta Rutter.

PMC5 Edition

Hello everybody! So the past two weeks were pretty slow without much PR news however as expected Power Morphicon brought us many exciting and shocking stories to share. It may have been hard to keep up with all the news so I'm going to try my best and help you catch up with what has happened. This is an extended edition of Ranger Newz, so enjoy:

Power Rangers Legacy:

We'll start with all of the awesome Legacy Collection news! First off on Friday Bandai revealed their newest role play item, the Legacy Power Sword. It looks truly amazing and I recommend checking out either Power Rangers Now (formerly RangerCrew) , Rangerboard, or TokuNation for sweet pictures of everything listed. Also, the next team that will be recieving the legacy figure treatment? Power Rangers Zeo! That's right, Ninja Storm, Mighty Morphin, In Space, and now Zeo. Bandai has been very good with keeping their promise thus far, but remember these announcements will only take us until next year. Also, there were four figures listed as "Top Secret". It's not any of the Zeo rangers as gold will be in the Fall 2017 wave. Thoughts on who they could be? I'm thinking possible villains or allies, like Phantom Ranger or Ninjor. Tell me what you think! Let's hope that when Mystic Force comes around (and hopefully it will) it will feature the White Mystic Ranger, what an amazing tribute to Peta Rutter that would be! 

Merchandise Here, There, Everywhere:

With the new movie coming out in less then eights months, we new that we could be in for a lot of PR merchandise. And we were definitely correct. So many new items were revealed so do forgive me if I have forgotten something. Revealed were:

Power Rangers Kawaii Cubes

As the picture states,there will be 12 characters to collect in three different sizes.

Power Rangers Nesting Dolls

These have been met with some uncertainty, I however have a strange obsession with nesting dolls so these truly are wonderful. 

Premium Polystone Statues

These also look terrific. They said that they will complete the full team (MMPR) however so far only Red has been unveiled. Very cool looking, and reported to be "affordable."

Power Rangers "Moment Statues"

Produced by Triforce, they will reportedly have some type of moving feature. The bases of them are also inspired by the zords. Also, you guessed it, the season they're starting with is MMPR.

Power Rangers Pop Vinyls 

Coming in Spring 2017, we will be recieving some new figures from Funko with the Blue and Green Mighty Morphin Rangers. Also they're updating the White, Red, and Pink rangers that have already been released before.

I'm going to continue with the rest of the news in another post as I feel this one is getting to be way to long. I hope you enjoyed this recap and at least have a better idea of what was revealed. Hey everybody! Sorry for not updating for a few days but here I am. A couple of exciting things happened over the week so read now to catch up on everything PR right here:

PRDSC Trailer:

A new trailer was released for Power Rangers: Dino Super Charge, which will return from hiatus later this month. They new trailer shows us the Silver Ranger, Dark Energem, and even a new villain! You can watch it here.

PRNS Toys:

Bandai suffered yet another leak (a recurring problem many fans have pointed out) when new Ninja Steel toys were posted. They did remove many post about them however so I will not share them. They included the standard rangers, the mega zord, and some canons with those less articulated/painted figures usually found on the motorcycle sets. If you do some searching I'm sure you can find them or you can pm on Twitter for all three pictures.

PMC5:
So Power Morphicon 5 is this week! Like it's actually happening this week. That's crazy to think that two years have passed since we saw the reveal of the Dino Charge rangers. Be sure to expect lots of news pouring out of Morphicon. We're in the home stretch for a trailer (hopefully) !!! Also, the PMC exclusive was revealed and is another MMPR megazord, er, thing, and is limited to 500 pieces. :/

Last Day Of July

What a month!

This has been a crazy month, huh? After restarting this blog, I got an incredible reposnse. It's been great to see the fan support grow so much for Peta. I know that continuing using this platform, along with Twitter and Instagram, the support will grow to completely new lengths. I honestly believe this is going to be an exciting year not just for Peta Rutter, but for Power Rangers as well. Anyways, stay tuned for more news and info as always.
