Last Day Of July

What a month!

This has been a crazy month, huh? After restarting this blog, I got an incredible reposnse. It's been great to see the fan support grow so much for Peta. I know that continuing using this platform, along with Twitter and Instagram, the support will grow to completely new lengths. I honestly believe this is going to be an exciting year not just for Peta Rutter, but for Power Rangers as well. Anyways, stay tuned for more news and info as always.

Ranger Newz Entry #4

Ranger Newz Entry #4

Hello Ranger Fans! I hope that you've all been enjoying your week. Exciting news, PMC5 is in less than two weeks! Unfortunately I won't be able to attend, but there is always good news that comes out. We could see the Ninja Steel cast, toys, a movie trailer, or all of those mentioned. If you are in attendance, I hope you truly enjoy your time. Now lets get into some of the Ranger Nation news:

Dino Super Charge Returns:
It was revealed that after a long hiatus (and I do mean long), PRDSC will return on August 20. While many leaked spoilers have been revealed up to Ep. 18. Still, it will be nice to see the episodes in English and high quality. The series really does pick up towards to the end!

GO GO Revised Theme Song:
Something I forgot to mention in the last Ranger Newz entry, it was announced that PR17 will have its own version of the original theme song. Possibly similar to was PRS-PRDSC has done, but maybe on a larger scope.

Instagram:
This isn't exactly news for the whole fandom, but I was running low on stories. Despite saying I was giving up on Instagram, I decided to restart it. However I couldn't get the old account back so now it's a completely new one. You can view it here.

Like I said, once PMC5 hits we will have A LOT to talk about. Stay tuned for more info as it comes and remember to enjoy the rest of your weekend.
                                                                           Well Wishes,

Another Instagram Update

Call Me A Hypocrite,

Which is actually a very good term to describe the situation. So initially I was planning on giving up with the Instagram account, however I finally got my cell phone fixed. Now that I have much easier access to the platform, I've decided to start a new account. I did give up on getting the old one back, but Instagram is so important as it saves pictures which are memories. Peta deserves to have her memories preservered.  The new account is @petarutter which I was somewhat surprised to see wasn't taken. Anyway, if you would like to follow that'd be much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Instagram Update

Currently,

My Instagram account, which started the entire Peta_RutterFan "franchise" has been put on hold. While I still am attempting to fix it, I've been staying much more active on Twitter and right here on Blogger. I've put a lot of work into my Instagram account and it is definitely important to me as I discovered so many pictures while owning. However, as it has been extremely difficult in regaining the account, I regret to say that I am officially ending it for now. For some, this isn't a big deal as I haven't posted in 3 months. While I hope this isn't the end, it's time to stop letting it just be dormant. I will leave the account up so you can all view the photos, and if I do get it back I'll make an update. It's not easy to leave 230 followers, but I hope they'll can continue to admire Peta with me on the is journey that is far from over. As always, I'm working on getting This Is Not A Love Story, The Footstep Man, Away Laughing eps, and finding the Street Legal episode. I don't think I'll ever find everything Peta Rutter related, but that's where you all come in to help me. Once again, thank you to all the IG followers and I promise I'll keep trying, but just don't hold your breathe.
                                                                              Much Love,
                                                                                    Peta_RutterFan

Why Peta Rutter

Why Peta Rutter?

It's a question I've been asked a not so surprisingly many times. First, the season that she co-starred on as the mentor, Power Rangers Mystic Force, receives a very divided reaction from the fandom. Most fans either love it or loathe it, leaving little grey area. Another thing she has going against her is her short term as a Power Ranger. She was only a ranger for a handful of episodes, and never returned for a team up. However, I think her limited tenure is actually a reason I adore the character. Often times when something is well liked, it becomes over used. The best example of this is ruining your favorite song by listening to it to many times. After hearing it so much, you begin to lose your love of said song and may not enjoy it at all. I feel this could be the case with some rangers. Udonna, however, never left the show, just her powers did. And so this always left the chance of a return as fans of the design were left wanting more. I mean just look at the costume:

It is a really spectacular design and is one of my personal favorites (needless to say, of course). This desire made you look forward to seeing the character each week, being intrigued. Another helpful part was Peta Rutter's acting and theater skills. She was great at captivating audiences on a show that is infamous for not always having the best actors. What really made Udonna herself special was her drive. When the rangers were stuck in the Underworld, she didn't hesitate to risk her own life and powers to save them. After losing her powers, she went off alone in search of her long thought to be dead husband. She valiantly charged the leaders of the Ten Terrors, almost god-like villains of the Underworld. Though not always the strongest fighter, she had brain, determination, experience, and skill. A famous saying goes "art reflects life." Through accounts that have been given, we can see Peta Rutter had a similar drive. She, along with her husband, continued in the dying art of alternative theater. Together they created mesmerizing shows that wowed their audiences. She also showed great diversity. She could be humorous, as seen from her two year stint on sketch comedy show Away Laughing, or serious, seen in made for tv specials Trifecta and Home Movie. She starred in This Is Not A Love Story (2002) and had roles in The Footstep Man and Dead Kids, where she showed off her dancing skills. She herself had been in a dance group named Darc Swan. And of course Power Rangers, which in its self requires diversity. Above all though, she inspired me. Her character was a guide for the Rangers and helped teach them valuable life lessons. Ones that could even be used in our world. So when people say, "Why Peta Rutter?" it's not as simple as saying, she's a childhood hero, she was a kind soul, gifted actress, skilled performer. She was certainly all those things, but she was so much more. Peta Rutter was herself, a joyous person and breathed bright light into dark souls. I've started all these accounts to let her know that her impact was left. She made a footprint and will always be there for people to look up to. I guess what I should be saying above all is, thank you so much Peta Rutter, and may your soul rest with all the happiness it deserves.

FYI

For anybody wanting to purchase This Is Not A Love Story, you must be careful of one thing. This being an Auckland/New Zealand production, the movie will not play on standard American DVD players. You need to purchase a region free movie player. If you have this, you will be able to view this and any other foreign movies. I hope this helps you!
